FAQs

Q: Do you have seasonal sites available?

Yes, we offer a friendly community of seasonal campers that will all tell you there’s no better place to spend a summer than with us! Please check for availability.

Q: What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in time is 1pm. Check-out time is at 11am. Later checkout may be available upon request at no additional cost - please check with the office.

Q: What if I cancel my reservation?

Cancellations made 15 or more days prior to the start of the reservation will receive a full refund less a $10 processing fee.  Cancellations made 8 to 14 days prior to the start of the reservation will receive a 50% refund.  No refund is available for reservations cancelled less than 8 days prior to the start of the reservation. Cancellations must be made at least 15 days prior to the start of the reservation during Holiday and Halloween Weekends and will receive a full refund less a $10 processing fee.  No refund is available for reservations on Holiday and Halloween Weekends cancelled less than 15 days prior to the start of the reservation.  We do not offer refunds due to inclement weather.  For Monthly Reservations, cancellations must be made at least 30 days prior to the start of the reservation to receive a full refund less a $10 processing fee.  Monthly reservations cancelled less than 30 days in advance will receive a 75% refund.

Q: Do you offer Military Discounts?

Yes. 10% Discounts are offered on reservations ONLY.  If you would like to have your military discount applied, please call Tohickon Campgrounds so that a staff member can refund or credit your account.  We thank you for your service!

Q: Do you permit campfires and can we bring our own firewood?

Yes, campfires are permitted within the provided campfire ring and campfire flames must not be more than 3 feet high.  Firewood is also available to purchase at our store. For everyone's convenience and enjoyment, please don't move our fire rings!

PLEASE DO NOT BURN: cans, cigarette butts, glass, or styrofoam in your fire rings. DO NOT burn any wood that has nails or staples in it.

Q: What are the general store hours of operation?

Please check the bulletin on the general store door for times of operation.

From time to time, the store may choose to close during the day.  If the store is closed, instructions for checking in are located on the door.  

Q: What are the hours of the pool?

The pool and water activities are open for use during times specified in the daily schedule of activities and are closed otherwise.  Staff may close the activity due to inclement weather or other reasons.  Guests are expected to follow all posted pool rules and staff instructions regarding pool safety.  A lifeguard or other responsible person does not supervise the swimming facilities at Tohickon Family Campground.  In place of an on-site supervisor, this facility has established a series of safeguards to be followed by all guests.  Your participation in any water activity is done at your own risk.  Rescue equipment is at the poolside.  If you notice any problem with the water quality or the absence of water rescue equipment, please notify the office immediately.  NEVER SWIM ALONE.  A minimum of two adults, 18 years or older, must be present whenever the swimming facility is in use.  THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR ADEQUATE SUPERVISION.  A parent or guardian must accompany children under 14 years of age.  DIVING IS NOT PERMITTED.  Do not drink alcoholic beverages and swim or participate in water sports

Q: What are the hours of the Cafe?

The Covered Bridge Cafe operates:

       Friday:            5:oop - 8pm
       Saturday:       9:00a - 8:00p
       Sunday:        12:00a - 1:00p

Q: Are pets permitted on the Campgrounds?

Well-behaved pets are welcome. Pets must be leashed or in an enclosure, and must be supervised at all times. Pet waste must be bagged and placed in waste receptacles.  Be courteous to other campers by not allowing excessive barking or leaving your dog unattended outside of your camping unit.

Q: Do you allow visitors to the Campground?

All visitors must check in at the office. Day guest fee is $5.  Every guest shall register.  A registering guest may be required by the campground owner to produce a valid driver's license or other identification, satisfactory to the campground owner.

Q: How do we participate in activities and special events?

There is always something happening here at Tohickon Family Campground.  We hold day-to-day activities, special weekends and events from Memorial Day to Labor Day, special tournaments and of course, there's always bingo!

A few of our Special Events are Mother's Day brunch, Christmas in July, and the fan favorite Halloween which is packed full of excitement and fun! So bring costumes for yourself, kids and pets! In addition, there are a few special events and activities that do have a small fee ($) associated with them.

A Calendar of Events will be available as you enter the campground, you can download it here on the website and print a copy to bring a long!

Q: What is the wifi password?

WIFI PASSOWRD:  Our WIFI network is open. A password is not required.
